2011 What a Romantic Start!

...and so we run into the new year! Many thanks to you all for dropping in and checking out the blog over the festive period. Some of you may have noticed the lack of posts... 'Is its cos you've not been working?' I hear you ask... 'Quite the opposite!' I reply. I'm sitting on a whole bundle of exciting new work and I'm looking forward to it all being posted up over the next month or so.
For the first post of 2011 I thought something exciting might be in order. Something romantic and full of hopefulness. So why not this! 2011 sees the start of the commissioned images I shot for The Old Course Hotel in 2010 going public. The first is a Valentines Promo (others coming soon: Mothers day, Easter and more)
The Valentines image is accompanied by a great wee quote:
“To me, the game of life and love is played out on the beaches because that's where some go to fall in love. The beaches of Fife have been a constant inspiration to me and I’m delighted that my work has become an inspiration to others. I am very flattered that The Old Course Hotel in St.Andrews have chosen to recreate my painting, Elegy for a Dead Admiral, and hope that the beautiful landscapes on offer in Scotland are never forgotten.”
Jack Vettriano
Valentines will also see an exhibition of Jack's work (including the specially commissioned 'Let’s Twist Again' for the 2010 Christmas card for First Minister Alex Salmond) in the Old Course Hotel.

Fantastic! I love Vettriano's work. This is a lovely campaign, and so nice to read the snippet the artist himself expressed. Nice work Hamish. Hope 2011 is good to you! Gracie xx
